Hey, I'm Amanda Henry.

I love teaching people that healthy living doesn't have to be hard - it doesn't have to be expensive, you don't need to spend hours in the kitchen, have access to the newest superfood each week, or belong to some fancy boutique fitness studio. 

NOPE.

I'm here to cut through the noise - the noise that the mass media and big food corporations love for you to hear - so you stay confused and keep buying the new "trend".

I'm here to tell you that being healthy is actually pretty easy. The Wellness Lounge goes back to the basics - eating real food, moving your body, and practicing self-care.

We'll get into all the juicy details on the blog, but this is what it looks like #OnTheReg:

EAT REAL FOOD

Food that is pure, clean, and safe. Unfortunately, we live in a country that values profits over health. This means you need to take health into your own hands. You need to read labels to inspect for foreign substances. Would you like a side of BPA with those beans? We will dissect all of the additives and chemicals you need to stay away from when shopping. 

MOVE YOUR BODY

Exercise should be a vital part of your wellness journey. Unfortunately, exercise is one of those things that is easy to push aside when we get busy. Too often people give up exercise because they can't devote a full hour. That is sorely mistaken and we will tackle how to get more movement back into your life. Exercise is not only vital for your body, but also your mind. 

PRACTICE SELF CARE

Moving your body is directly related to your mental health. I'm a firm believer that movement in your physical body creates movement in your life. Exercise is vital for brain function, and can improve memory, mood, and sleep.

I'm a holistic nutrition coach, healthy lifestyle hacker, green juice lover and owner of The Wellness Lounge.Through my coaching and programs I teach how to live a truly balanced life. You aren’t going to give up dairy, gluten, and sugar and never be able to attend a friend’s birthday party without crying in the corner because you can’t have a piece of cake.

At The Wellness Lounge our goal is simple: to teach you how to live a healthy balanced life without making yourself insane.

I hope to inspire you to cook healthy and show you that it can be quick and easy.

I hope to show you that working out can be fun, and you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on fancy equipment, trendy gyms, or a personal trainer.

I hope I inspire you to slow down, appreciate the food you are eating, the body you have, and the relationships you have formed.

True wellness is more than a numbers game – it encompasses all areas of your life.
